In order to save time and find success in your life, you need to be persistent with your goals and focus on them with all your might.  However, as any person knows, there will be times when the little procrastination elf will try to enter into your life, making you quit, fail and ultimately keeping you far from succeeding with your goals.

Procrastination is very common these days, it is like an illness that has been around us in all aspects of our life.  People, who procrastinate, think it is OK, and they always have the perfect excuse when you ask them about it.  Some even try to disguise procrastination as the right thing to do, failing to realize that they are just lying to themselves.

Anyone can end procrastination, and in this article you’ll learn how to do it.  It’s all about applying the correct principles and keeping the correct attitude.

To start, you need to break down your desired tasks into smaller steps.  It doesn’t matter if your goal is to become a supermodel or to build an airplane. If you can break down your goal into smaller steps you’ll have bigger chances of succeeding once you do each small task one by one.  You know, your goal may seem distant, and that’s why you shouldn’t focus on the distant future, but instead on the small steps you are taking RIGHT NOW that are taking you in that direction.  Focusing in the present with a positive attitude is key to pull off this principle right.

The other important principle is to write down what you actually do.  It is like goal setting but in present time.  This is a very strong weapon to end procrastination.  Thanks to this “diary” you will be able to observe at the end of each day or week, how many times you “go off the road” and “take a nap away from your goal”.  Keeping track of these things will also help you take proper action to prevent future procrastination.

These are two powerful techniques to end procrastination.  However before applying them you should have the right mind set and know that you WANT to end procrastinating, or else they won’t work.  What you desire, comes true, remember it.
