Student Time Management
Being a student can be somewhat overwhelming; with all the assignments you need to do, books you have to read and the pressure from parents and teachers, it is easy to find yourself lost. However, using student time management techniques you can regain control of your life and avoid sinking into a labyrinth of things to do.
From the first day you go to school, college or university, you are given a lot of information that can suddenly put your “internal scheduler” in a coma for some time, never being able to recover on time. That’s why it is important that you learn a few techniques and tips to better manage your time. Here you will find some great tips to get you started with student time management, put them into practice and make them a habit.
- Every day, set aside some time for planning. Grab a notebook or some to-so list software and note down, everything that must be done. This will not only help you when making a prioritized list, but will also free your brain from this info, without worrying about forgetting tasks.
- When studying, do it for 20 minutes, then take a walk for 5-10 minutes and then continue studying. This will increase your effectiveness when studying. The human mind is easily distracted, and after 20-25 minutes your brain will not be as focused as before. These breaks will recharge your brain, and can save you time you waste from reading the same paragraph over and over again.
- Prioritize your list and set some time to do the task. When all you need to do is written, you now need to grab that info and make a prioritized list. Avoid wasting time in tasks of little importance, and tackle the important and hardest tasks first. This alone will free you from a lot of pressure.
These are some basic student time management tips, however they are very powerful, put them into practice and start seeing the difference.
